Currently over 30,000 Stridas have been made. Although based on the same patent, the design has evolved into its current mk3 form which is lighter, stiffer and performs better than previous versions. MAS Design has also developed; geared versions, powered versions (both methanol- and electric-powered), a lower cost version and a lightweight version.

The Strida has won many awards including ID (International Design) magazine's prestigious Design Review award, Cyclex awards, millennium product awards etc. It is displayed in several design museums worldwide including London’s Design Museum and Nijmegen Fietsmuseum, Holland.
